1. Why did you decide to become a volunteer with sbf胜博发登录?
I became a volunteer with sbf胜博发登录 because I wanted to become part of a local community of marketers and meet a variety of people who share my passions but who may be at different points of their career.
2. What do you enjoy most about being a volunteer on your committee?
The thing I enjoy most about being part of the Member Experience committee is helping fellow young professionals get excited about building a future in Marketing with the right career path and networking support.
3. Why is being a volunteer with sbf胜博发登录 important to you?
After graduating college during the pandemic, I was looking for a way to connect with other marketing professionals and explore different opportunities within the field. Volunteering with sbf111胜博发 is important to me, especially during these crazy times, because it gives me a meaningful way to contribute to and be part of the local marketing community. I love the projects I’ve worked on and the people I’ve met through sbf111胜博发.
4. What’s the one thing you wish others knew about volunteering with sbf胜博发登录? What makes it unique?
Volunteering with sbf胜博发登录 is unique because they really prioritize making your experience as a volunteer beneficial for you. Rather than putting you on a committee they see fit, they take the time to help you find the right committee to fit your interests and passions and help you grow as an individual.
5. What is some of the best advice you've received in your career?
The best advice I’ve received in my career is to know my own worth and be true to myself and what excites me. My mentor and my parents have always encouraged me to trust my gut and pursue opportunities that truly excite and challenge me. They have also shown me that it’s ok to inject my fun personality into strict professionalism and that any opportunities I invest myself in should be one where they recognize and appreciate my positivity and eagerness to learn as strengths.
6. Besides volunteering, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Besides volunteering, I enjoy traveling (during non-COVID times), reading, spending time with family and friends, and spending time outside (going for walks, paddleboarding, kayaking, biking).
